UCIBIO will be at the National Biotechnology Festival
Researchers from UCIBIO will be present at the National Biotechnology Festival on the 10th and 11th of April. UCIBIO and other several portuguese scientific institutions in the biotechnology field demonstrate the relevance, excitement and wonder of biotechnology to students, teachers and general public at the Pavilion of Knowledge. It is an excellent opportunity to know how biotechnology affects our daily lives, throughout more than 40 hands-on activities.

Rita Sobral awarded an ESCMID Research Grant
The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) announced that Rita Sobral, from UCIBIO at FCT-NOVA, has been awarded a research grant to study “A new target inside an old molecule: glutamate amidation of peptidoglycan”.
