PtmBRCN in the Portuguese Roadmap of Research Infrastructures The Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education has just updated the Portuguese Roadmap of Research Infrastructures (RI), and the Portuguese microBiological Resource Center Network (PtmBRCN), is now included in the National Roadmap of RI.
Development of an easy, fast and cost-effective method for bacterial strain typing The extraordinary increase of Klebsiella pneumoniae resistant to last resource therapeutic options constitutes one of the greatest challenges of the modern Medicine  due to increasing difficulties to treat and control infections. The lack of reliable tools compatible to routine microbiology practices to assess relatedness between infectious strains impairs timely and precise treatment and infection control decisions.
